Man Perverts God’s Rainbow (Part II)

How can so many people be pulled into the movement of homosexuality? Are men and women so blinded that they believe the lies that are being portrayed in our culture? There was a time, that Americans would have blushed at the very thoughts that are now openly flaunted in public. Please cry out with me to God asking Him to forgive our nation of the evils that are so rampant in our land. Let us pray for individuals that are bound by an ungodly lifestyle. I know that I am grieved, and I can’t imagine how the heart of our Lord is bent over in grief.

“Oh, but Charlotte, we are to love and accept everybody just the way they are. We need to embrace their lifestyle. This is America, isn’t it? We have freedom to marry male or female; whoever we choose. If we speak against homosexuality, we don’t love.” No, this is not true. Love is to speak the Truths of God’s Word. We are to love everybody, but we are not to embrace evil. In fact, we are called to speak the Truth (the Word) in love (Eph. 4:15). Therefore, I am to share what our Lord speaks to us in the Bible. The problem now is that the devil is trying to intimidate God’s people that they better not speak against homosexuality. If they do, they will be labeled as guilty of hating people. I love people enough to speak the Truth. Why is it so important that I speak the Word concerning this?

Let us look at 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 Amp.,“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate [by perversion], nor those who participate in homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers [whose words are used as weapons to abuse, insult, humiliate, intimidate, or slander] nor swindlers will inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God. And such were some of you [before you believed]. But you were washed [by the atoning sacrifice of Christ], you were sanctified [set apart for God, and made holy], you were justified [declared free of guilt] in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the [Holy] Spirit of our God [the source of the believer’s new life and changed behavior].” We see that these precious people will not “inherit the kingdom of God” or have any share in it. God loves them, and so do we. I don’t want their blood dripping from my hands because I didn’t speak the Truth to them (Ezk 3:18-21).

Notice in the passages above that the Scripture declares, “And such were some of you [before you believed].” After, we did believe upon the Lord, we were washed by the blood of Jesus; we were made holy; we were free from the guilt of those sins listed in these verses; and there was a change of behavior. People that operate in these sins, need to know that they are in a dangerous place. I would hate to be standing before the Father and see people cast into the lake of fire and know that I did not share the Truth with them. God forbid. I realize that there will be those that will reject Truth even when they hear it, but they should have the opportunity to be warned of the consequences. I love them enough to share the Truth. Now, let me be clear. Man does not go to heaven because they abstain from the sins listed in the above verses. Man will not go to heaven because they rejected the Lord Jesus Christ. When we truly accept Him, we will not desire to walk after evil. …And if we do commit sin, we can confess it to Jesus, and He will forgive us (1 Jn. 1:9).

The Bible tells us that God is love. Love said through Jesus in Revelation 3:19, “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.” We are instructed by God to be imitators of God, as dear children (Eph. 5:1). That means that we do as the Lord does. …But remember, Jesus did what His Father did. We must be led by the Holy Spirit. 1 John 3:18 says, "My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” Also, we read in Hebrews 6:10, “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.” Amen!
