Living Life from Heavenly Places (October, 2022)

We are in flesh and walk to and fro in this earth. The born-again and the lost have this privilege. We experience hopes, joys, victories, disappointments, sorrows, oppression, broken hearts, and sometimes depression and fears. None are exempt, but there is a difference for the born-again person and the lost. The one who does not know Jesus as Lord only hopes in a change of circumstances or sees the need to suppress their hurts and disappointments with drugs, alcohol, partying, porn, another relationship, etc. The born-again sees the need to realize that this world is not their final home. They have a blessed hope that Jesus has given to them, “life and that they might have it more abundantly” John 10:10. …And then an eternal home in heaven with Jesus.

Nicodemus went to Jesus and began to ask Him about the power that they saw upon Him and through His life. He knew that Jesus came from God and that God was surely with Him, or He could not do the miracles that He did. Jesus began to expound to Nicodemus “that ye must be born again”. Jesus said in John 3:13 in the Passion Bible, “No one has risen into the heavenly realm except the Son of Man who also exists in heaven.” In other words, Jesus was saying to Nicodemus that while he was on the earth ministering, He was also in heaven in the spirit realm. I submit to you that Jesus being in two places at the same time is also the privilege given to every believer. We are at the same time seated with Christ in the heavenly realm, but also living our life on earth to please Him.

We read in 1 Corinthians 12:27, “Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” The child of God is a member of Jesus’ body. Now, notice what happened to Jesus. “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power. Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all” (Ephesians 1:17-23).

You, too, are seated at the right hand of the Father in Christ Jesus. We were raised in Him. The child of God can operate in the same power of the Holy Spirit that Jesus operated in. Notice, we are seated above ALL evil; satan and ALL demons. We have been given the power of the Lord by the Holy Spirit to minister His will that is in heaven in this earth. Brothers and Sisters, remember you are in this earth but not of this earth. We operate from a heavenly realm; not an earthly realm.

“Father, in Jesus’ name, I decree that I operate in this world by Jesus, Who is the head of the body. You are leading me in what to do. I am a member of Your body, and Your power flows through me. No devil is above me but always below me, in Jesus’ name. I will live this life in the earth but live it from heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Amen!”
