The Blood of Jesus Makes Us Free! (July 2023)

The month of July is often remembered as the month that we celebrate Independence Day, July 4. We may think about picnics, fireworks, and/or a day of celebrating our day off. It is surely so much more than that. This special celebration day did not come without a strong passion for freedom and the shedding of men’s blood. Men fought to gain our nation’s liberty from Great Britain by warring against them. The Continental Congress passed the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. This declaration announced the political separation of the 13 North American colonies from Great Britain. Britain had demanded unfair taxes on the people in the colonies. They attempted to control them. The people that formed these colonies needed to be free from this oppression; and eventually, they would be. Thank God that we celebrate freedom today by the hand of God and those who were willing to fight and even die.

I want you to know that our Jesus bought us our freedom through the shedding of His blood, the death on His cross, so that we could have freedom from demons that desire to place oppression and bondage upon us. Our independence did not come cheap. Again, it took the blood of God to purchase our salvation. We, the Lord’s children, were bought with the most expensive cost; the blood of Jesus. We saw these Truths, accepted them by faith, and through the finished work of Jesus were made free from the kingdom of darkness. We read in Colossians 1:13&14, “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:” Look at it in the Amplified Bible, “[The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in Whom we have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins.”

This salvation has been made available for every man and woman that have lived, are living, or shall live. Some will accept the finished work of Jesus, while others will reject it. Those who reject what Jesus did for them will remain in bondage to the wicked one; satan and his demons. They will oppress and control those who will not accept the gift of salvation. People, let us come running to Jesus, accepting Him as Lord and as Savior and gain our independence from the kingdom of darkness, in Jesus’ name. Amen and Amen!!!
